The Tiger King, aka Joe Exotic or Joseph Maldonado, is still behind bars, serving a 21-year prison sentence for a murder-for-hire plot against his rival, Carole Baskin.

But he’s not happy about it and has been campaigning hard for an early release.

Joe thinks it’s totally unfair that he’s still locked up, especially after hearing that one of Donald Trump’s first moves after returning to office last week was freeing people involved in the Capitol riots after the 2021 election.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Joe didn’t hold back.

Saying that he’d probably have a better chance of getting out if he had “broken into the Capitol” or was “related to the Bidens.”

Back in Trump’s first term, when asked about Joe’s case, Trump told a reporter that he’d “take a look,” but nothing ever came of it.

Joe later tried getting clemency from then President Biden, but that didn’t work out either.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Joe pleaded for Trump to give his case another glance. “I’m not begging, but I’m asking him to take five minutes and look at the evidence.”

“Being in prison with what I’ve got is wrong, especially when they’re letting people out who’ve committed murder.”

Joe, now 61, was convicted in 2019 of hiring hitmen to kill Carole Baskin and sentenced to 22 years in prison.

But he’s sticking to the story that he’s innocent and just wants to get out, even if his conviction stands and his sentence is cut to time served.
