A dirt bike rider has lost his licence after he was caught riding an unregistered bike in Whyalla.
Police patrols stopped an unregistered green dirt bike just before midday on Tuesday, after it was seen being ridden from scrubland onto Dunsford Street in Whyalla Stuart.
The 21-year-old rider from Whyalla Norrie was submitted for a drug test, where he returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
The rider was issued a three-month licence disqualification. Checks revealed the rider had never held a motorcycle licence and the motorbike was unregistered and uninsured.
The rider was reported for riding an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle, riding whilst being unlicenced, drug riding and breaching motor vehicle standards.
His motorcycle was also impounded for 28 days.
