Hummock Hill vandalism may come at high cost

Whyalla’s Hummock Hill was the target of vandals recently, with cooking oil poured over the road creating a significant safety hazard.

Whyalla City Council closed the road for cleaning on Friday with the assistance of WinPatrol Services and Des Dunstall Excavations.

However, there are concerns the road will now require ongoing repairs, the Council saying the “senseless act” could end up costing the community tens of thousands of dollars.
