A Whyalla man has faced the court after he was caught driving at extreme speeds earlier this week.
Just before 2 on Wednesday afternoon, Woomera police were conducting speed detection duties on Stuart Highway when a car was clocked travelling 194km/h in a 110km zone.
Police signalled the driver to stop the vehicle but he refused.

An hour later still on Stuart Highway, road spikes were deployed bringing the car to a halt.
The 24-year-old was arrested and charged for driving at an extreme speed, speed dangerous, and failing to stop.
