A man is set to face court after allegedly being caught driving while more than double the legal blood alcohol limit on the Yorke Peninsula.
Shortly before midnight on Monday Highway Patrol officers stopped a white Toyota ute on Tiddy Widdy Road Ardrossan for a mobile driver test.
The 33-year-old driver of the car allegedly returned a positive breath test for alcohol – with a reading of 0.157.
He has been reported for drink driving and issued a 12 month licence disqualification.
The 33-year-old Stirling man is set to face Maitland Magistrates Court at a later date.
Sergeant Tristan Graham of Yorke Mid North Highway Patrol says “Drink driving continues to be a significant factor in road trauma and drivers continue to risk their lives, the lives of loved ones and other road users.”
