A Blue Tree could soon sprout in Mallala…
Mallala and District Lions Club is driving the effort to generate discussions around mental health and suicide prevention by bringing the Blue Tree Project to the town.
The project has seen dead trees painted blue as a visual symbol of mental health and suicide prevention.

After beginning in WA, there are now over 1200 blue trees across the country.
The Lions Club will engage with the community and will hold a meeting at the local community complex tonight to discuss a location.
The Mallala blue tree would join 16 others around the region including in Port Augusta, Orroroo, and Burra.
