Over 1,000kms have now been completed.
Stretching more than 2,100 kays from the Great Australian Bight to the NSW border, the fence is essential for safeguarding the state’s livestock industry against wild dog attacks.

Many parts of the fence were over a century old and had fallen into disrepair due to wildlife and weather conditions.
Primary Industries Minister, Clare Scriven, says the project has also created over 40 local jobs.
It’s due to be complete by mid-next year.
